Game Review
Crystal Palace secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers in their Premier League clash at Selhurst Park, thanks to a last-minute goal from substitute Evann Guessand. This result was somewhat expected given Palace's recent form and home advantage, although Wolves put up a resilient fight despite being reduced to ten men. The match was a tightly contested affair with both teams struggling to create clear-cut chances. The turning point came in the 61st minute when Wolverhampton's Ladislav Krejčí received a red card after picking up two yellow cards in quick succession. This dismissal shifted the momentum in favor of Crystal Palace, who capitalized on their numerical advantage. The decisive moment arrived in the 90th minute when Evann Guessand, who came on as a substitute, found the back of the net to give Palace the lead. His introduction, along with Daichi Kamada and Brennan Johnson, provided fresh legs and attacking impetus for the home side. In terms of lineup changes, Crystal Palace made no changes to their starting eleven from their previous match, maintaining consistency in their selection. Wolverhampton Wanderers, on the other hand, also fielded an unchanged lineup, despite several players being doubts due to injuries and suspensions. This victory sees Crystal Palace continue their positive run, having now secured crucial points in their battle for a mid-table finish. For Wolverhampton Wanderers, the defeat adds pressure as they look to steer clear of the relegation zone, with their form needing improvement in the coming fixtures. Post-match reactions highlighted the impact of Krejčí's red card, with the Wolves' head coach acknowledging the challenge of playing with ten men against a well-organized Palace side. Meanwhile, Crystal Palace's manager praised Guessand's impact off the bench, emphasizing the importance of squad depth in securing the win. Overall, this result reinforces Crystal Palace's solid standing in the league, while Wolverhampton Wanderers must regroup and address their disciplinary issues to improve their fortunes.

What is GAP?
What is Plus Minus Goals (G±)?
Plus Minus Goals (G±) is the average goal difference per game while the player was on the pitch. A value above 0 indicates that the team rather wins, a value below 0 means his team concedes more goals than they score when the player is on the pitch. As an example, if the player's team is winning 3:1 the goal difference is +2, if the player's team is loosing 0:1, the goal difference is -1. It is a pure metric which is barely adjusted for circumstances to purely show the goal difference.
What is GAP?
GAP (Game Advantage Percentage) shows the percentage gap between a player and the average league player. It answers the question: How much does a player improve or worsen a team's performance? It is based on high level game data with a focus on the impact on the goal difference (G±) from the last 50 games of a player. Besides that, GAP goes further and considers game context by involving data from the player and all other players who are at the same time on the pitch, no matter if teammates or opponents. Football GAP - the individual metric for team players.
